Our approach to sustainability is two-fold: to minimize our environmental impact, while nurturing economic opportunity within the region.
Alila Ubud takes great pride in recruiting most of our team members from neighboring banjars. We also purchase all of our fruits and vegetables locally, and procure the majority of our Alila Living products, including soaps and shampoos, from village co-operatives supported by the resort. Sourcing locally not only benefits our surrounding communities economically, but also keeps transport-related greenhouse gas emissions to a minimum.
